Our man Sucio Smash released the new Sputnik Brown record this week. Get a taste right here on Frolab.

Here is the press release:

Sucio Smash, founder of High Water Music, is the protégé of legendary Bobbito Garcia, and co-host of WKCR’s renowned underground hip-hop FM radio show, Squeeze Radio (Fridays 1am-5am EST). With his label, Sucio is looking to develop artists for the future, rather than follow the norm of looking to the past for musical saviors. With nearly ten years of music industry experience under his belt, Sucio will play host to the creation and execution of several independent projects that will be released under his High Water Music label.

The roster for High Water Music will include: Sputnik Brown, Fresh Daily, Soul Purpose, a collaborative LP between Breeze Brewin’ (Juggaknots) and Oh No, and the long-awaited follow-up to DJ Spinna’s “Heavy Beats Volume I.” This is just the beginning of High Water Music’s long list of notable projects as they look to continue signing and releasing remarkably unique talent.

High Water Music’s first release, available October 23rd, will be Sputnik Brown’s single, “U Havin’ Fun Yet?” from their forthcoming album, “Three Shades of Black.” The album itself has an approximate release date of February 2008. Following suit will be projects from the artists listed above. High Water Music releases will be digitally available at www.amalgamdigital.com and physically distributed by Fat Beats Distribution.
