Another lovely night in San Fran has me out and about, I heard that HVW8 Collective

were going to be at the 5024SF Gallery, known for really sick openings. Being a fan

for years now, I had yet to see of their work personally. This showing is one of my

Favorites to date! I took a few pics, hope you like?

Peapod 2008 Recap

The Black Eyed Peas held their 4th Annual Peapod Foundation Benefit Concert at the Avalon in Hollywood on Thursday night. This year was a good time – last year felt different bc we were working – this time we just watched the show! It went a lil something like this…

A award to Sam Gores presented by the Peas and Laurence Fishburne-

… a few songs by will.i.am + Lil Jon (can’t leave ATL if you wanted to!)…

… Ne-Yo showed us some moves…

… The Peas did the standards…

… John Legend tickled the keys…

… & then there was a Alexander Vanderpool invasion – Boyz II Men! Wow. I’ve got mpegs for YouTube – look for updates tomorrow!

… then a lil Common…

… some Rock-n-roll with Slash, George Pajon & Fergie…

… Nichole Scherzinger with will.i.am…

… and then, as if Boyz II Men wasn’t enough… here they come with…

GUY

Yep – Aaron, Damien & Teddy. Did Teddy’s Jam, Lets Chill, Groove Me – Yep. YouTube’n tomorrow…
After that we had some Snoop Dogg with Teddy Riley (who’s producing his next album) – they did Sensual Seduction w/ Teddy on the voicebox…

(yes that’s Hammer in the background)
… ATL continued to be in the building with a surprise appearance by LUDAcris…

… followed by The Roots…

…who tried to do “You Got Me” with Natasha Bettingfield but homegirl didn’t really know the lyrics…oops. nice Herve Leger dress though.

So yeah – a whole bunch of folks all on the same stage. It was quite a good time and the money raised goes to building music workshops around LA since the schools aren’t providing music education to the youth – so its all for a good cause. Congrats to the whole Black Eyed Peas family and Grassroots Productions for putting on a very entertaining show!
