It’s no longer just The Roots Picnic … it’s now The Roots Picnic WEEKEND!
Friday night is the kick-off with the Pre-Picnic Jam Session:
“The Hors D’Oeuvres” featuring Santogold, The Randy Watson Experience (?uesto, Bilal, Robert Glasper, + James Poyser), Janelle Monáe, and The Roots. Sadly Santogold will no longer be able to perform at the Picnic on Saturday, so make sure you catch her at Hors D’Oevres Friday night. If you already purchased tix to the Picnic, you not only have 1st chance to buy tix to the pre-picnic jam, but you also get a major discount! Hit up the TLA box office (between Noon and 6:00pm with your Roots Picnic Ticket, or a print-out of your confirmation number, and cop Jam Session tix for only $20. Regular ticket price (without Roots Picnic ticket) is $35. And if you’ve been paying attention you know how the Roots fam gets down with the jam sessions… this one is worth the lunch money, and not to be missed!
