INSTANT ART HISTORY IMMEDIATELY: The Fak’try”, is a modern day
reincarnation of Andy Warhol’s hip 60′s hangout where artists,
musicians, writers, critics and socialites gathered and shared in
creative energy and live parties.
The project is a site specific living installation that features
Fahamu Pecou and Hebru Brantley performing a Warhol-Basquiat style
painting session while their contemporaries, which include a host of
artists, musicians, performers etc. take up residence in the space
engaging in, well, whatever they want. Photographers and filmmakers
will document this momentous history-in-the-making.
Each night features a mini-opening and party
from 7p-12a.
During the course of the weeklong performance, scenes for the
accompanying “mock-umentary” The Fak’try will be filmed.
Come be a part of Instant Art History…
