The PRO-Ked Bobbito Royal Flash will be released this Fall 2009. “El Barrio” is an aka for Spanish Harlem, which is where I first saw the model in 1981, and where I copped a deadstock pair circa 1990 (which was used to construct the 30th anniversary re-issue). for more info, peep my blog post about them:

NYC folks get ready for the release on Oct.21st with a RSVP part(Shout out to Dante Ross)

To sneakerheads, Bobbito Garcia is one of the most respected names in the game. In addition to his notoriety as a DJ and streetball aficionado, Bobbito (A.K.A. Kool Bob Love) is perhaps best known for his love of sneakers, which he translated into his book, “Where’d You Get Those,” for all intents and purposes, practically the Bible of sneaker culture. It is no secret that Bobbito is a longtime devotee of Pro-Keds kicks, and to help them to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of his all-time favorites, the Royal Flash, they have teamed up to create some very special Bobbito editions of the classic shoe. The Bobbito Royal Flash (also known as the “Add-On”) will be available in four colorways, red, yellow, orange and green, each with a bunch of personalized touches with shout-outs to Bobbito, his Spanish Harlem b-ball roots and the 30th anniversary of this beloved model.
To kick off the re-release of the Royal Flash, on Wednesday October 28th, Bobbito will be embarking on a one-day 5-stop tour that will hit several well-known NY/NJ shops such as Packer Shoes, Rime, Goliath, Vault and West. Bob will be signing kicks, boxes and his book at each spot as well as mixing it up with attendees in his typical friendly and outgoing style. Keep reading for a look at all four colorways and specific details on the release tour schedule.
12pm – Packer Shoes – Teaneck, NJ
2pm – Rime – Brooklyn
4pm – Goliath – Harlem

And on Oct 26th catch Bobbito on the wheels at his monthly jump-off “Vinyl is Forever”

Excerpt from the Ellen homepage: “The other day, one of my producers showed me a video of a kid who may be the youngest hip-hop dancer — he’s only 4! He’s one of the coolest 4-year-olds I’ve seen… MILES BROWN will be on the show to chat with me and dance for all of us.”
Speaking of Wildchild, here’s a video from earlier this year for the track “Day n the Funk” featuring Georgia Anne Muldrow:
