

Mos Def’s single “Casa Bey” & album “The Ecstatic” were nominated in the Best Rap Performance & Best Rap Album categories for the 52nd Grammy Awards that will take place Jan. 31, 2010, at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Robert Glasper was nominated in the Best Urban/Alternative Performance category for his song All Matter with Bilal. Overall, Beyoncé received 10 nods, Taylor Swift eight, and Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Kanye West receive six each.
Also noteworthy, graphic designer and contemporary artist Shepard Fairey was selected as the Official Grammy Artist to create the artwork for the awards!
