Miss Jill Scott was recently on The Mo’nique Show and talked about her Lifetime movie Sins of the Mother, airing this Sunday at 8pm.
She also told us to look forward to her on NBC next month on Law & Order: SVU where she was cast to play an aunt and caretaker of a former singer (Lisa Arrindell Anderson) who has severe multiple sclerosis and is raped. The Blind Side‘s Quinton Aaron plays Scott’s son, and Jeri Ryan appears in her recurring role as defense attorney Patrice LaRue. The episode is set to air March 24.
On the music end, she shared that she recorded her upcoming album totally freestyle! Jill says she and her band just got in the studio and went with the vibe and came out with amazing songs – she seems SO excited about it which makes us even MORE ready for summer and Lilith Fair! (ladies!!) No release date as of yet but stay tuned – we’ll let you know as soon as we do!

I’m happy for Jill, man. She has really blossomed. The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency was a GREAT show. I hope they get a second season. Despite the legal drama with Hidden Beach, I’m sure the new record will come out soon and will probably be dynamite.
