Walter Anthony Rodney is one of the foremost names of revolution in the Caribbean. A
native of Guyana, South America, more widely known for Jim Jones and the “Jonestown
Massacre” in the U.S. . Walter was a scholar and a fighter. Having authored
several books that are canonical in almost all Pan-African Studies
and been referenced in songs by artist like Dead Prez and Talib Kweli.
Frolab recently came across some video Documenting his life of
activism, we thought it would be important to share this and thank Roots & Culture
films for making this info available for the masses. We hope that this would be a big
part of education for people all over the world? With The recent Passing of Dorothy Height
and one of our favorite wordsmiths G.U.R.U. one half of legendary hip-hoppers Gangstarr.
We feel it’s important to look at how we’ve been blessed with these great inspirational people.
