Glasper’s style combines the influence of Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Brad Mehldau with Neo-Soul, Gospel, Hip-Hop, and Soul traditions to produce a unique melodic voice, harmonic textures, and rhythmic drive that are equally at home with Thelonious Monk and Mos Def.

I love this trio and wish I could see them live. Glasper and C-Dave are two of the most badass musicians alive today, and to see them play together with an unreal bassist like Derrick Hodge? That’d be awesome.
