This fronamonal track from @RobertGlasper Experiment new LP “Black Radio” (Pre-Order NOW) hit the net early today.

Rob had always wanted to do a version of this song with Badu on vocals and his wish came true.

The original jazz standard was composed by Mongo Santamaría and  first recorded by the Cal Tjader Sextet in 1959.

Abbey Lincoln performed the song on her 1959 album, Abbey Is Blue, with lyrics by Oscar Brown Jr

The song was re-recorded by many greats in jazz including John Coltrane &  Rahsaan Theodore Kirk

Also guitarist  Andy Summers of the Police cover it as well.
