New Yorkers get a treat on Saturday night as Brooklyns finest Mos Def & Talib Kweli re-unite as Black Star on stage for not one but two shows in one night.

What a way to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of such a classic album by rockin the whole album live.

J.Rocc from the Worlds Famous Beat Junkies will man the decks as Mos & Kweli perform classic after classic.

God willing Frolab will be in the house to bring you exclusive frotos and footage from this historic night.

Celebrating the return of one of the most lyrically talented Hip-hop duos of all time, Rockmith teams up with Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli) on a set of commemorative t-shirts. Both styles featured will go on sale during the Black Star show at the Nokia Theatre on May 30th, presented by Blacksmith and LiveNDirect. A limited supply will also be made available online via Karmaloop.com.

Good times and great music was in the air on LaBrea this past Saturday as the Mighty Mos Def kicked it hard with fans and shoppers at Union.

What better way to hear this incredible album than on a sick stereo system right?

Union LA had that covered. The classic McIntosh Stereo hi-end audio system blasted the sounds of Preservation (Prod/DJ) and with a lil help from DJ Fidel on the 1′s & 2′s played the whole album plus the originals while people shopped and kicked it on the block.

Thanks to everyone who came out to chill with Frolab, Mos & the crews from Union, Stussy & UNDFTD.

Check out these images I took of Mos Def while we were in South Africa last month. Mos was rockin Neighborhood new collection heavy at the Cape of Great Hope and on stage in Jozi. These frotos got to NBHD and is now the unofficial lookbook for their new collection. (Holla at me Shinsuke Takizawa – L/XL jackets/t-shirt/34W Jeans and shouts out to Nixon Watches, Visvim, Converse JPN, Stark Laces & UNDRCRWN.) No stylist was used for these pics – This is Black Dante everyday.
