Once a year for the last five years San Francisco has been the Bay Area home of

The Wonderfull Party with Dj Spinna and Bobbito Garcia aka Cucumber slice. This

year was the second one I’ve attended and it was even more packed! Some of the

Frolab Gang from L.A. Came up to party with the SF Crew, here are a few pics.

The Crew!

Hope to see everyone next year, big ups Hakobo @ FrescoSF, Massive selector,

Bob and DJ Spinna for keeping it really amazing every time, Peace!

Last night was a huge night for the 5024SF Gallery with the showing of great

pieces from French artist Miss Van. Miss Van’s style is unmistakable coming

from Toulouse where she started she’s made a name internationally. A major

figure in the female presence in modern graffiti/Art  she’s a revolutionary!

Once again the folks over at the 5024sf Gallery in San Francisco have put

together a fantastic show a personal favorite, Jeremy Fish of Silly Pink Bunnies.

Jeremy has been one of the staple artist for Upperplayground as well as being

an artist for Think Skateboarding. He has many collaborations, including the

Nike Air Classic SB, which is one of my favorite shoes of ‘07. Enjoy the show!

The ever soulful Noelle Scaggs will be opening for Mr Dwele this Thursday at the Roxy- so you know Frolab will be in the house for what’s sure to be a fro-tastic night! Noelle’s next project “The Reluctant Wheel” is coming soon - you can hear some of her material on on myspace + HVW8’s podcast

& Also - check out her “alter ego” Isis Wise - a “fictional” singer/songwriter! This woman is fierce - keep her on your radar!

Frophile: Nonstop MovieWorks x Talib Kweli X Video Rahim

So the word is out (thanks OKP, On Smash, Nah Right and to the trailer too- it is quite a teaser). Video Rahim and I have been frolaborating on this documentary on Talib Kweli for sometime now (98-05) and because of some red tape, the doc has not been completed as of yet. So after 10 years of working on it, we decided to at least release the trailer for all the fans to see and - who knows - maybe add some pressure to the powers that be to help make this doc a reality for Kwe’s fans and fans of Hip Hop Docs. We shot over 200 hours of footage over them 10 years, including classic RE shows to Black Stars first performance in Atlanta… to me touring with Kweli on the Beasties tour and with him and Kanye West overseas.

So lets see what you the fans can do to help make this film see the light of day on your DVD player and not just on youtube!

Also check our reel (Nonstop MovieWorks aka “the Culture Capture Champs”) for some more classic spitage from MF DOOM, Jay Z, Oukast and more…

The show is hosted by Coo-Kee who to me is like the Marley Marl of Puerto Rico. If you understand spanish you will love this show, dude is pretty much crazy!!! Lots of jokes, fake commercials and other crazy things.

The show is every Sunday from 7- 8pm on 95.9FM NYC or here

I am the “guest” on tonight’s show so look out for me speaking Spanish. Spread the word!!!
