All i can say is WOW ! You go Bansky!!!!
The piece below was spotted on an old abandoned Chevron Station near Birmingham Alabama. (We’re told it’s somewhere between where the 59 Freeway meets the 65 going South near a large Home Depot on the 59.
And from New Orleans

As we get ready to watch Barack accept his nonimation tonight, we’re reminded that there’s always “Pros & Cons” to every great story. Check this out by BET News, co-produced by our frolaborator Catherine Rogers!
LOCKED OUT: EX-CONS & THE VOTE
premieres FRIDAY AT 11:30P with an encore SUNDAY AT 1:30PTune-in to find out why millions of Black people will not be able to participate in this year’s election.
BET News takes an investigative look at disenfranchisement policies that have marginalized an estimated 5.3 million American citizens. Although some debate exists as to whether there remains racist intent in our country’s criminal justice practices, there is no question that certain policies adversely affect the Black community more than any other group in America.

cooliris is a VERY cool plugin for Firefox (and Flock!) that changes how you view webpages w/ lots of images or videos (google image search, youtube, flickr, myspace, facebook, amazon, etc). It takes over your screen and basically makes it easy to scroll thru all the images like cover flow! Shouts out to Cara who put me up on it - its definitely a new favorite way to surf the net… but be careful, it kinda made me dizzy! They need that video game warning screen!

GoTellMama!
Got Next Tour 2008
GoTellMama! Is pleased to announce the general election Got Next Tour 2008 Art Series. A Traveling Art Exhibition of Barack Obama inspired works with stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Austin, Atlanta, Chicago and New York. The tour begins in July and runs through October.
The GoTellMama! Got Next Tour 2008 is brought to you by artist Ray Noland aka CRO. The show is part of a two-year artists run and operated independent political art campaign in support of Barack Obama. The previous Officially Unofficial Show was a huge success with exhibits in Chicago, Philadelphia, Raleigh and Portland during each of their states 2008 primary election. We are focused on communicating with voters in an array of contemporary grassroots methods such as a national street campaign of posters and stencil art, animated viral videos, and creative use of internet technology.
GoTellMama! was created in November 2006 while Noland was recovering from a severe bicycle crash - jaw wired shut for six weeks and mending a dislocated shoulder. The Chicago-based artist devoured Senator Barack Obama’s book, ‘Dreams from my Father’ and became consumed with the man and his story, but also the potential of his [Obama's] window into the 2008 election.
What began as the simple production of 25 (pre-ordered) limited edition ‘Dream’ screen-printed posters has grown into a collection of prints, stencil graphics, gocco prints, fine art pieces, animated videos, an aggressive national street campaign and a series of art exhibitions across the country.
The ambition of the GoTellMama! campaign is to heighten awareness of Barack Obama using non-traditional tactics. GoTellMama! exhibits the collection of screen-printed & offset posters, stencils on canvas, guest artists works, and original videos dating back to 2006. 10% of show sales donated to Obama for America.
About the Artist: Ray Noland is a Chicago-based artist and designer working under the alias CRO. He has been an artistic driving force behind the scenes for over 10 years, and is now trying to unshackle the political world from its outdated rules for campaigning. Noland has a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (’95) and has worked as art director for Scion & URB Magazines. His clients include, Ogilvy & Mather, Arc Worldwide, Burrell, FCB Draft, Eat/Drink & Vessel Ideation. His art & illustrations have been published in Straight No Chaser, Beautiful Decay, Victionary, ExitStrategy, Faesthetic, Yo! What Happened to Peace, Lumpen and XLR8R.

So the word is out (thanks OKP, On Smash, Nah Right and to the trailer too- it is quite a teaser). Video Rahim and I have been frolaborating on this documentary on Talib Kweli for sometime now (98-05) and because of some red tape, the doc has not been completed as of yet. So after 10 years of working on it, we decided to at least release the trailer for all the fans to see and - who knows - maybe add some pressure to the powers that be to help make this doc a reality for Kwe’s fans and fans of Hip Hop Docs. We shot over 200 hours of footage over them 10 years, including classic RE shows to Black Stars first performance in Atlanta… to me touring with Kweli on the Beasties tour and with him and Kanye West overseas.

So lets see what you the fans can do to help make this film see the light of day on your DVD player and not just on youtube!
Also check our reel (Nonstop MovieWorks aka “the Culture Capture Champs”) for some more classic spitage from MF DOOM, Jay Z, Oukast and more…

Understand that this group right here is one of Atlanta’s pillars (meaning: 1 of the first hip hop groups to put it down for the A!) they help forge a path for the south to be heard in their time b4 OutKast,T.I, or Lil John on some Hip hop shit not because they were from the south.
